I wanted birdsong. There are several dickybirds in our garden, but there aren't any skylarks. Today was a good day for walking - and we didn't see any other person at all. Looking at this old stile and the hill fort in the background I could be in a different age. Who saw the same view in a past time? Is it a very old footpath? This hedge is full of beautiful flowers. I can see a tall purple foxglove, yellow gorse and corn marigolds, and spikes of wall pennywort. There's a big stile in this hedge - too tall for me! I saw a tiny purple flower, too. Do you know its name? Perhaps it's a vetch.
