There are three months in summer: June, July and August. Now we are almost in the middle of August. So, the end of summer is approaching. There is bright sun and hot weather on the south coast, but here on the north coast there is fog every morning. Early today we walked towards Callestick. I put my coat on because it wasn’t hot! The colours are changing in the hedges and fields. The wheatfield is yellow. At twenty past nine I couldn’t see St Agnes Beacon and I couldn’t see the sun either. But at twenty to ten the sun broke through. There is yellow bracken as well as green. The foxgloves are no longer red – they are black. There is traffic on the main road. We needed to wait for a pause before crossing. There is a speed limit but everyone disobeys orders!
