Ma meur a whel dhe wil – rag chei gen üdn chombour! Ha nag eus bes teyr bledhen dhe dhalla – nena ew an cübmyas derevel gorfednys.

By my faith! I say an advertisement for this ruin. It is advertised as a “barn” for conversion. Planning permission was given, very quietly, during lockdown in July, in spite of objections from locals. You can buy it for £150,000. Would you want a residence between the road (Bone Mill Road) and the embankment of a dismantled railway? There’s a little river by the bank as well. In the past the river provided power to the bone mill. Would you want to live in a house where the bones of dead horses and cows were ground up? There’s a lot of work to do for a house with one bedroom! And there’s only three years to start – then the planning permission is over.
