De Merher, üdnegves mis Dû
Wednesday, 11th November
Leun ew an bes a sinys, môy sinys avel ûsadow. My ell gweles dew sin en keth termyn – arwòdh vorr hag astel sin maynor estât. Gwir ew – magor ew dhe werha. Dew vildir alebma ma advisments môy reb an eglos. Trûedh dra ew – nag eus ordenal veth en mis Dû. Ha ma advisments môy war an bord plüw. Rowlys a’n Pow: Gwrewgh cawas areth rag tüs erel; Gwrewgh difres an kerhydnedh natural; Gwrewgh enjoya an pow mes a-jei.
The world is full of signs, more signs than usual. I can see two signs at the same time – a road sign and an estate agent’s signboard. It’s true – a ruin is for sale – but is it buyable? Two miles from here there are more notices by the church. It’s a sad thing – there are no services in November. And there are more notices on the parish board. The Countryside Code: Respect other people; Protect the natural environment; Enjoy the outdoors.
