There is an old mill in Bolingey. It's turned into apartments now. In the past there was a mill-wheel driven around by a mill-stream. The wheel has been gone for a long time. The mill-race is diverted by the old bone mill. There is a dam. The water left the old way for the new way! The leat is dry. But what is this opposite the mill? An old house was demolished and a new house is arising in its place. The garden has been cleared and part of the old leat discovered. It is full of water. Perhaps it will be a long, narrow fish-pond or duck-pond now. The water joined this stream, and now it is tumbling under a narrow stone bridge by the old pottery.
