The weather today is fickle. The dog and I went out to walk around, and the sun was shining. But half of the sky was blue and half was dark and cloudy. The scene was very dramatic. We crossed the railway and walked by St Uny’s church. The church tower is encrusted with lichen like barnacles on a boat or mussels on a rock. It was very beautiful (like a golden crown) in the sunshine, with a threatening sky behind it. I looked at the map – which way and how far? It’s always better to leave the road, so we went up towards a mine. We were very high – I could see the sea as well as Carn Bre. But the clouds were coming and we had to dash home. That was timely. Now it is hailing. The chickens are sheltering under shrubs.
Deg ger rag hedhyw: Ten words for today
a-dermyn timely

bessel mussels > besslen (f)
cova to take shelter, hide
crestednys encrusted
crevednow barnacles
fekyl fickle
fesky to dash, hurry
godrosüs threatening, ominous
prysk shrubs > prysken (f)
